Biography

I am an environmental engineer with a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Universidad de Antioquia, Colombia. My professional expertise lies in the fields of hydrometeorology and climatology, with a specific focus on studying extreme precipitation events in tropical regions, particularly in the northwest of South America. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D., driven by a keen interest in exploring the role of extreme precipitation events in the occurrence of flash floods. My research aims to enhance the prediction and forecasting capabilities related to sudden flood events. By delving into the intricate relationship between extreme precipitation and flash floods, I aspire to contribute to the development of more accurate and effective flood prediction models.
